This yellowish-brown species is marked by an oversized head, a white cross or X on the dorsal surface of the pronotum, and blue hind tibiae. Lateral lobes of the pronotum are marked with a large black patch, and the hind femora each bear two black bands. Wings are shorter than the abdomen. Males are 16-23 mm long, females 22-34 mm.
