This is a brownish-yellow or green grasshopper with two dark stripes running from the top of the head, broadening and fading on the forewings. The sides of the head and pronotum are brown. The femora bear two dark bands on the outer face, and the junction of the femur and tibia is black. Hind tibiae are bluish. Males are about 20 mm long, females about 25 mm.
